2015 China Mining Congress & Expo will be held as scheduled on October 20-23 in Tianjin city, China. Over 8000 delegates from more than 50 countries in the world will gather for the big event in mining community. Mining ministers or vice ministers from a large number of countries and regions, such as Canada, Peru, Argentina, Mexico, Kenya, Sultan, Garner, Poland, Eritrea and Greenland will attend the convention on invitation. 

According to the introduction made by deputy director of Department of Science, Technology and International Cooperation, Ministry of Land and Resources, convention this year is highlighted by several points. The first is that the theme is more clearly targeted. Focusing on in-depth analysis on global mining development opportunities, it will boost confidence on global mining development, in face of new development trend of global economy and new normal of China’s economy; the second is with broader coverage of participants. Delegates and exhibitors have covered global mining powers and countries with abundant mineral resources, important international organizations, large-scale mining enterprises, financial investment agencies, consultative agents and technical support agencies, and industry associations, what’s more, embassy of Peru in China becomes international co-organizer of the event; the third is that the convention will focus on the opportunities and policies in implementing the national development strategies, especially “the Belt and Road”, Pilot Free Trade zone in Tianjin. It will promote the introduction of mining projects and discussions on mining cooperation among countries along the “Belt and Road”; the forth is to pay close attention to development trend of new technologies and industries. In-depth discussions and exchanges will be conducted on new ideas and techniques in areas such as Internet + Mining, mining and financing, comprehensive utilization of mineral resources and green mine construction. 

2015 China Mining Congress & Expo is themed as “New Normal, New Opportunities and New Development”, and keynote sessions, mining ministers’ forum,mining development forum and Geological Survey Director General Forum will take place as well as project introductions and training of relevant mining knowledge. Mining expo will also be held, covering an area of 38000 square meters with over 2000 booths, and more than 600 exhibitors.
