Mining industry development forum was held in Nanning, the capital city of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous region during the fifth session of China-Asean Mining Cooperation Forum. The forum was co-hosted by China Geological Survey and Department of Land and Resources of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. 18 officials from 12 countries participated the “2014 seminar on Geological Survey and Mineral Resources Administration Department Officials of from Asian Countries” attended this event, and 9 officials from 8 countries made presentations on the forum.

　　All the speakers made the presentations on their own countries which focused on important issues, mainly covering the basic geology, distribution of the minerals resources, administrative agencies, mineral development, green mining, the latest developments in mining policies and the position held by its mining industry in world mining. Some speakers further introduced more practical information, including distribution of mining rights, investment opportunities, and application procedures for inbound investment.

　　As an important part of training programs hosted by Ministry of Commerce, the forum was held taking the opportunity of the opening of the China-Asean Mining Cooperation Forum organized by our country, and provided information service for a greater variety of people on a broader bases, and enabled the participants of the China-Asean Mining Cooperation Forum to get information of geology and mineral resources of foreign countries accessibly, which also be proved to be a successful test.
