19 provincial cooperated agricultural survey projects launched in 2002 have been accomplished with an area of 1.65 million square kilometers, covering the main agricultural economical regions of the Central and Eastern China. The tens of millions of soil geochemistry of high precision data have been obtained. The technique evaluation system for soil quality of geochemical survey has been established. Geochemical conditions in terms of the distribution features of 54 elements (indexes) and land quality have been investigated systematically for the first time. Almost 0.2 million square kilometers green land resources with high quality and rich in Selenium (Kalium) has been delineated, which increases the value in use of the land and provides important basis for implementing the functional area planning of the national main body, the optimization of spatial distribution of land development, the scientific management and efficient utilization of land resources, the protection of land ecological safety, agriculture industrialization and ecological agriculture.
