China-Asean Mining Cooperation Forum was held in Nanning
Chen Wu has conveyed his willingness to join hands with the Asean countries, and promote comprehensive exchanges and cooperation in a wide range of fields, including mining, and make Guangxi play the role of new door and new hub in China-Asean cooperation well. The Mining Cooperation Forum would be included within the overall architecture of China-Asean Exhibition, Business and Investment Summit, which would be held over the same period. Guangxi would make use of this opportunity to expand the impact, and deepen mining cooperation.
Wang Min pointed it out in the opening remark that China-Asean Cooperation Forum has held to the principle of “openness and cooperation” for four years, made use of the policies set for China(Shanghai)Pilot Free Trade Zone, comprehensively created China-Asean mining exchanges and investment cooperation platform, and made active contributions to mutual benefits and win-win development. The theme of the forum has shown that having located the global tendency of green economic development, it would be a boost to the exchanges and cooperation in green mining, and promotion to the mining recovery and sustainable development of Asean countries.
He also stated that it was the mutual task faced by both China and Asean countries to realize the sustainable and healthy development, and put forword the following suggestions.
Firstly, enhance the mining cooperation, explore and promote the establishment of the long-term economic and trade relations in mining, encourage the enterprises of both party to carry out mining joint venture and cooperation, explore the measures to advance the bilateral mining trade and more convenient ways to introduce investment, and deepen the bilateral investment and trade cooperation.
Secondly, establish and perfect mining cooperative platform, facilitate the implementation of the cooperation treaties among Ministry of Land and Resources and mining administrative agencies of Asean countries, enhance high-level reciprocal visits and business contacts, push forward the introduction and negations of mining projects , and the substantial cooperation by making good use of such important platforms such as China Mining and China-Asean Mining Cooperation Forum.
Thirdly, carry out green mining exchanges and cooperation, enhance experience exchanges and sharing, advance technology promotion and application of green mining; build the capacity of personnel and provide related training for them.
China-Asean Mining Cooperation Forum, which lasted for two days, was co-hosted by Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Ministry of Land and Resources,Ministry of Commerce and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade. More than 500 attendees in total, including authorities from administrative agencies in mining from Asean Countries, responsible persons for mining and business associations, authorities from administrative departments of land and resources at provincial(regional,municipal)levels, famous entrepreneurs and scholars in China or Asean countries in relevant fields.
