Researchers Wang Z.J. and Yao J.X. and their team from All China Commission of Stratigraphy, under the support of the Geological Survey Projects, integrated paleontological data of strata from different times in important regions in China and the latest findings in this respect, and compiled a full-sheet color wall-type China Stratigraphic Chart that covers the international chronostratigraphic chart, China chronostratigraphic chart, petrostratigraphy, biostratigraphy, magnostratigraphy, dominant fossil categories, carbon/oxygen isotopic evolution, sea level fluctuation, important geological events and their spatial distribution. They also conducted multi-strata correlation on a region-to-region basis and compiled the specification for the China Stratigraphic Chart. Their output has important scientific implications and high utility for regional geological survey and fundamental geoscience research. The "China Stratigraphic Chart with Specification" was brought on to the 34th International Geological Congress and the 4th National Conference on Stratigraphy for report and exchange where it was highly appreciated and recognized by geological experts present at the meetings.
