CGS and GSI Signed the MOU for Geo-Science Cooperation
On May 15, on behalf of Dr.Zhong Ziran, the President of China Geological Survey (CGS),the Deputy Director General of CGS Dr.Wang Xiaolieco-signed the MOU for Geo-science Cooperation between CGS, Ministry of Land and Resources, People’s Republic of China and Geological Survey of India(CGI), Ministry of Mining, Republic of India with H.E. Mr. Ashok K. Kantha, the Ambassador of India to China.
In recent years, extensive cooperations have been carried out in geo-science research and personnel exchange between CGS and CGI. And the signing of MOU aims to expand cooperative fields through scientific research and program-conducting by two parties.
According to the MOU, the two parties are going to comprehensively kick off the partnership in the fields such as comparative study on basic geology, metallogenetic rules, environmental geology, hydrogeology and technologies applied in geological survey.In addition,both sides will jointly hold seminars, international conferences, training courses and lectures apart from the exchange of science-technology information, exchange of scientists from both sides, modern testing techniques and methods for geological samples.
