Zhong Ziran Met with Executive Director of Geological Survey of Western Australia
President of China Geological Survey Dr. Zhong Ziran met with the delegation led by Executive Director of Geological Survey of Western Australia Roger Richard John.
Xi’an Center, the regional center of CGS introduced the progress of the International Cooperation Project of Geological Mapping Technology and Methods and spoke highly of the achievements made jointly by both sides. CGS hoped the future cooperation would be extended at a deeper and higher level.
The meeting contributed to a consensus in terms of international cooperation projects between China and Australia. Firstly, geologists from both sides will join hands to edit and publish the geological map of Australian Murchison region and the northern mountain areas of China. Secondly, collaborative research will be launched to address key issues in the mapping progress. Thirdly, the scope of future cooperation in deposit research will be determined.
