The achievements of basic geological works and innovation conducted by China Geological Survey (CGS) have attracted 10 times more commercial funds invested in mineral exploration which in turn have yielded substantial discoveries in the mineral exploration regions delineated by CGS. Various minerals with great amount of resources including copper, iron ore, lead, zinc and gold were discovered in Hunan, Tibet, Qinghai and Xinjiang provinces and autonomous regions.
