The 4th Lectures on Geological Survey by International Experts Was Held in Beijing
On 2014 May 6, the 4th Lectures on Geological Survey by International Experts was jointly held by Department of Science and Technology & International Cooperation and Department of Personnel Education, China Geological Survey. The fellow of American Geological Institute and the head of School of Engineering of Peking University, Professor Zhang Xiaodong was invited to deliver academic lectures.
Professor Zhang Xiaodong introduced the strategy of shale gas as a type of resources, the latest progress of global extraction technologies and environmental risks in detail, and exchanged ideas with attendees. Professor Zhang will cooperate with CGS to carry out the research in shale gas extraction technology.
A total of over 120 representatives from 17 institutes, among which are Ministry of Land and Resources, CGS affiliated organizations, China Economic Research Institute of Land and Resources, Peking University, Land and Resources Newspaper and Geological Survey Newspaper.
